Houston Toad (Bufo Houstonesis)
This toad is only located in Houston and is the only animals that is in danger from extinction. The reason for its low number is by loss of habitat and alteration, its a serious threat that this toad is facing. It lives primarily on land and rarely is on the water, during the winter it lays low till the cold passes and the same if its too hot in the summer. This causes the toad to not plant her eggs for future generations and avoids predators so shes behind schedule to place them. To help and save the toad is to clean ponds and and by planting plants or trees to reduce the rising of water in their land. |

The giant panda is also one of the most endangered animals on the planet. I'ts mostly found in China, but now it seems that its hard to find one in the wild, the reason for its extinction are for multiple reasons. Poaching and hunting is one, followed by loss of habitat, destruction on environment and low birth rates. Researchers say within a couple of years the panda population could be lower than 1000 pandas around the world. |
Hawks-bill Sea Turtle
This turtle is mainly found in the reefs, and was named hawks-bill by its snout. This creatures are extremely vulnerable due by their slow reproduction rates and high volume of illegal trade for the prize jewels like their shells. The Siberian Tigers has a population of 500 left walking on earth, and has been predicted that by the year 2050 there will be none left if the hunting and destruction of humans continue. Those are the only reasons they're numbers are decrease, the hunting is because of its fur, fangs, and claws, followed by the destruction of their habitat that is lost by human activity. |
Elephant
The elephant has been one of the endangered species on top of the list fore more than 50 years. With a population of 1200 and decreasing 50% each 50 years due to forest change by human activity, they are loosing their habitat and are being exposed by humans more often and this is how they begin hunting them making them vulnerable. |
Mountain Gorilla
Being the second known primate in the world, it has a population of 300 to 400 mountain gorillas left. It was in the 20th century when game hunters became aggressive in hunting them down. They thought that these gorillas were a threat to them by trying to harm them, but now an initiative took place and began an organization that keeps these mountain gorillas in that specific area and keep them safe due to hunters and habitat loss. |

A Vaquita is a family of porpoise that lives only in the golf of California, mainly in between Mexico and Baja California. Theses creatures are slowly going extinct mainly because of fishing gears, they hunt this animal for its fins for soup or to eat any other body types, also it has other natural predators who will kill them. Another possible death for the vaquita is due to climate change which affects their food availability and habitat along the the gulf. About 500 to 600 are left and each year it decreases by 15% to 25% since 1945. |

Polar Bears
Polar Bears are the rarest of all the other bears by the white fur they have on, its basically to protect them from the cold weather and water. They only live in ice cold environments which is a problem due to global warming that are melting the ice and destroying their habitat. The WWF is helping these polar bears by having no human activities around the animal like reduce oil plants in the ocean near where they live, by the help of the government they got the deal signed. |
